As of this past Tuesday Abby has been dubbed the “Porcelain Queen.” After a few days of some mild nausea, morning sickness has hit Abby in full force. She hasn’t really eaten anything since Monday night. A handful of oyster crackers, some sparkling water, and ice cubes don’t really count as a meal. Iced Passion tea from Starbucks seems to be one of the only things that she can stomach. And, I bought some iced lemonade popsicles on my way home from work and she gobbled one up in no time! Unfortunately, iced tea and popsicles do not a meal make.
I can’t even talk about food or even say the word water because Abby will start to retch. It is pretty funny because I was prepared for Abby to be starving all the time and to have the oddest cravings. I know that time will be here and probably quite soon, so I have started to stock the kitchen with an assortment of foods – fresh ground peanut butter, apple sauce, crackers, veggies, french fries, carrot cake, tofu, and a variety of dips – hummus, boursin, and tzatziki. I am so ready for her to start eating for two, but I need to get her to eat for one first.

I am so glad she has you to take such good care of her!
