Adios first trimester and hello second! Today marks the 12th week of pregnancy and Sprout is now the size of a lime. Funnily enough, Abby craves and mostly drinks limeade and/or sparkling water with lime.
Also, now that we have heard Sprout’s heartbeat and are through the first trimester we have begun telling friends we’re pregnant. [...]

We just got back from our appointment with the midwife.  Sprout is doing great, we’re just over 11 weeks now (fig sized).  And we got to hear the heart beat!  Apparently, old wive’s tales say that a low heart rate means boy, and high means girl (normal ranges from 120-180ish).  Well, Sprout was loud and [...]

Not only is today Mother’s Day (and sort of our first), but it is also our 6 year anniversary (when we met), AND today marks our 7th week of pregnancy! That’s a lot for one day.
This weekend has been quite eventful as we told our parents and siblings about being pregnant. Everyone is so excited [...]

Voila, the sprout, heartbeat and all!  The sprout is circled in red in the bottom image.  Makes this whole pregnant thing a little less theoretical…

Superhero

Pregnancy has given me the power of super-smell.  Sadly, if I had to pick a superpower, I think this would be pretty far down the list.  I wish I could trade it for something like flying.  Or even super-vision, that would seem like a logical trade.
